Equans offer 'Steps into construction'...

Equans continue to work closely with the Southwark Construction Skills Centre (SCSC) to support the development and growth of talent within the construction industry by hosting a 'Steps into construction' workshop with unemployed Southwark residents.

This May, Site Manager, Josh Peach and Site Administrator, Ramona Catrut visited the SCSC to give a presentation on the steps into construction to 35 local unemployed residents.

This is the second visit Josh and Ramona have paid to the SCSC and similar to their first visit, they gave a detailed presentation about the Glengall Road scheme including drone footage of a large concrete pour undertaken in December 2022, a video showcasing the scheme's expected programme and finished look and finally a detailed review of the process taken on site when visited by an auditor of the Considerate Constructor Scheme.

Josh and Ramona also explained what employment opportunities are currently available and carried out mock interviews and CV skills training.
