Free training ensures Southwark residents are site ready

18 Southwark residents are now fully equipped and prepared for a career in the construction industry thanks to a suite of free training arranged by EQUANS.

In partnership with The Skills Centre in Southwark, Social Value Manager for EQUANS, Patrick Warren, recently arranged for 18 local residents to receive a number of free training courses in an effort to help them successfully secure employment within the construction industry.

As well as a number of practical hands-on training including courses such as mobile tower awareness and asbestos awareness, delivered by EQUANS own in-house Trainer, Mick Doyle, residents were also invited to undertake a CSCS test to significantly improve their chances of finding employment.

Patrick has worked alongside The Skills Centre for a number of years and has a close working relationship with staff that ensures EQUANS can continue to offer training and employment opportunities like these for local people for a long time to come.
