Equans attend fair to offer apprenticeship opportunities
Earlier this month, staff from Equans attended the G15 Apprenticeship event in London in an effort to offer apprenticeship and training opportunities to Notting Hill Genesis residents.
Social Value Managers, Pat Warren and Mark Bush attended the event in Glaziers Hall in London and spoke to a number of interested residents about the apprenticeships, work placements and accredited training opportunities available from Equans.
Local sustainable recruitment is a major objective for Equans and is one we focus on heavily when delivering our social value commitments for our clients.
If you are interested in an apprenticeship, work placement or training opportunity with Equans, please reach out to us by contacting your RLO who will pass on your details to our Social Value team.

Team achieves 'Excellent' rating from Considerate Constructors Scheme
The Goat Wharf site team have achieved an impressive high score from the Considerate Constructors Scheme after scoring 41/45 on a recent audit.
On 25th April, a CCS monitor visited the scheme and carried out an audit of the site, commenting things like "An informative visit took place with it obvious the appropriate measures were in place to reduce any inconvenience to residents to the minimum."
The CCS is an independent organisation founded to raise standards in the construction industry to ensure all construction sites present an image of competent management, efficiency, awareness of environmental issues and above all neighbourliness. Monitors from the scheme regularly audit our sites to ensure we are adhering to the scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice which is designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirement.
Each audit is split into three categories; respect for the community, protecting the environment and valuing the workforce each with a potential score out of 15 with a total combined max score of 45 available. To score above 13 in any category warrants an excellent level of achievement for that category.
Congratulations to Paige, Gary and the rest of the site team, who work so hard every day to maintain such high standards

NHG Resident Update - March 2023
Please see below for NHG's resident update for March - please note this article has been summarised, if you'd like to read the full update please click - here.
Thank you to all those who were available to join our resident meeting on Tuesday 28th February. We apologise again for the technical issues and thank you for your patience. The slides from the presentation were circulated on Wednesday 1st March to all residents - if you did not see these please reach out to your PMO, Saphire Stirling on 0203 815 1976 or at saphire.stirling@nhg.org.uk.
Material Consultation
We have completed the colour sample on the zinc and timber facades and produced a brochure to illustrate all sample colours and provide you with an idea of how they will look once installed.
Confirmation of materials to date:
Zinc Cladding - panels to match existing welted joints - manufacturer (Alzeco RAL 7040)
Timber Cladding/Soffits - Marley Cedral Lap Weatherboard Cladding (Light Oak - CL104)For decking replacement we have explored all options available and have found the best match. We took on board your comments of the previous sample being too light. The alternative sample is to review in the brochure. We welcome your comments on the decking sample via your PMO/HO.
Decking - Ryno TerraSmart Aluminium Decking (Fawn Brown - RAL 8007) - for your comments by 19th March.
Balcony Works
Equans will have a balcony works tracker in place and work with residents phase by phase. Paige Knowles (RLO) will contact residents in due course. We understand that some residents have some bespoke glass panels on their balcony. All glazing that is removed, will be marked for ease of identification to ensure that it is refitted in the correct space. This will combat the issue of the wrong panels being installed to any balconies.
Scaffolding
Scaffolding on Phase 1 has been completed and has an alarm installed. This will be repeated on Phases 2 and 3 as the scaffold erection is completed.
NHG contacts for direct enquiries
