In between these updates the site team will be contacting you to make appointments for any surveys or works that need to be done to the outside or near your flat.

    Our progress to date:

    • We have stripped all timber cladding from the roof to level 1 on both blocks
    • We have protected all intruder escape routes on both blocks and we have also protected the OSB boards with Monoflex
    • Installation of goods hoists and fire alarms on the scaffold on both blocks has also been completed
    • There is now a Field View Operator on site to take photos of the ongoing works to ensure compliance with current building regulations and manufacturer's specifications

    Our next step:

    • Appointment of subcontractors for the removal of non-fire related OSB boards to be replaced with compliant fire-rated Y-wall has been completed

    Reminders:

    • Your health and safety is our priority! Please ensure that all rubbish is put into the bins and not on the floor or the access to the back. This has serious potential health and safety implications
    • We are also appealing to you to refrain from engaging in activities that have the potential of endangering your life and that of your neighbours, these include; organising barbecues on your balcony, throwing bottles, sharps, cigarette butts or other dangerous items on your balcony
    • Please ensure that all items are removed from your balcony for ease of access to our contractors

    Resident respite area:

We have commenced with the residents' coffee mornings in our respite area. As a reminder, the respite area is a place to relax with a cup of coffee or tea and biscuits while having a chat with the site team about the ongoing works or reading your favourite thriller novel. You're all welcome to visit. For more details about using the respite area and the facilities available, please speak to your RLO.

  • Works update - August 2024

In addition to our weekly works update on your lobby information boards, we are delighted to update you on the progress of the works so far:

    • We have completed erecting the scaffold and putting netting around block 5
    • We have completed erecting the scaffold at the rear elevation of block 7 and are currently erecting the same on the front elevation

Our next steps: We will soon commence stripping of the wood from your balconies and around block 5. Once scaffold works are completed around block 7, the same stripping works will also apply - we will inform you when this happens.

Surveys: A big thank you and appreciation for your continued support and cooperation in giving us access to your properties in order to complete our internal surveys. For those remaining (99% already completed), we will be happy for you to contact the RLO to arrange a time and date to complete the survey. Please bear with us for any inconvenience caused resulting from the noise or dust - we will try to minimise this as much as we can as the works progress.

Reminder: We would like to remind you to ensure that your balcony is cleared of all items to allow free access to our operatives to carry out their work. It is also important to note that throwing bottles, cigarette butts, sharps and organising barbecues on your balcony is forbidden due to health and safety concerns. We endeavour to work in an environment where everyone is safe from harm and danger, and this is why we make the health and safety of our operatives, staff, residents and the general public our top priority. Please desist from this activity because fire and dangerous materials have the potential of creating harm and destruction to life and property!
