Installation of new modular extensions has begun!

The first modular extensions have now been successfully delivered and installed on the first properties in Noel Park as part of our major works programme across the area. Works aimed at installing the extensions are now underway to more homes on Morley Avenue, Farrant Avenue and Moselle Avenue, with all properties expected to be completed in the first half of 2023.

Properties on Gladstone Avenue are in the final stages of receiving planning permission from Haringey Council's Planning department. We would like to thank all residents for their patience during this important programme and will be in touch prior to any work taking place.

If you have any questions or would like to view the modular extension show pod, please contact Equans Resident Liaison Officers, Lyn Rutherford on 07767 648 159 or Sonja Eldred on 07748 822 768. Alternatively you can also email noelpark@haringey.gov.uk.

First resident decanted!

Mrs Ward has lived in Noel Park for over 40 years and has recently moved into a decanted property while the installation of her modular extension installation takes place.

Mrs Ward said: "I was excited and could not believe it was happening. It was difficult to accept the move as I have not lived anywhere else, but Haringey Council helped me through all stages. From explaining why I had to move to what I needed to take with me to my temporary accommodation. I also viewed my temporary accommodation, which was nice, and I received boxes to pack. I literally just had to unpack once I handed over my keys. The team were so helpful, and kind and I cannot thank them enough. I am happy as I know when I move back to my permanent home, I will have my new walk-in shower and kitchen."

Haringey Works

Tairone tells us about his experience on the Haringey Works programme - a service dedicated to helping Haringey residents find jobs. As an apprentice, Tairone has gained work experience on site for the Noel Park major works programme.

Tairone said: "As part of the Equans community pledge and with the help of Noel Park's Big Local, I was employed as an Apprentice Site Assistant for six months. I've been based on site with the team three days a week. My duties involve helping Resident Liaison Officers and distributing letters and newsletters to residents for pending works. I have also been supporting the Site Managers with daily labour counts, material deliveries and distribution.

"Other duties have included straightforward health and safety checks and ensuring site housekeeping is in check in the site office and working properly. During my short time, I have found this experience useful and will use some of the skills I have learnt in the future again."

Working Together

We have recently launched the Noel Park Major Works Steering Group which provides advice and feedback on how the works are progressing. The aim of the group is to ensure that the works are meeting the needs of the local community.

The first meeting was recently held and proved to be a success. We are planning a meeting schedule for 2023 and would love for you to join us! We encourage council tenants and leaseholders to join the steering group, particularly those living in Moselle Avenue and Farrant Avenue.

The group meets every six to eight weeks for an hour on a weeknight evening. If you are interested in joining the group, please email noelpark@haringey.gov.uk.
