FAQs
- Fire remediation re-cladding works
Who can I contact with any issues I have throughout the works?
Your main point of contact will be your Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) and in some cases other members of the site team. Contact details can be found within the Contact Us section at the top of the homepage.
Is there an 'out of hours' emergency contact number?
Yes, in the event of an emergency outside of our usual working hours please contact us using our out of hours emergency number on 0800 328 7244 .
Will all of the operatives speak English?
Yes, the majority of our operatives speak English. All operatives will have a foreman who speaks English.
If you have any problems communicating with an operative please direct any questions to your Equans Resident Liaison Officer, as that is what they are there for and they will be able to give you the correct information.
Should I notify my home insurance company that building work is about to take place at my home?
How will I be able to identify Equans personnel?
All Equans personnel and operatives will be wearing numbered hi-visibility vests and carry Equans ID badges. Please remember to ask for the ID badge before letting anyone into your home - you can also contact your RLO if you doubt the identity of anyone trying to access your home.
What is an RLO?
An RLO or Resident Liaison Officer is a member of the Equans site team appointed to this scheme to act as the link between you and other members of the Equans site team.
They are your first point of contact every step of the way for any queries or concerns you have about the works and are here to help you during our working hours. Please do not hesitate to contact them at any point.
Please find the contact details for your appointed RLO within our Contact Us section.
How do I let you know if I am happy with everything that has been done?
We are always happy to hear that you're happy. So please drop us a note, letter, email or text to your RLO (make sure to note your name and address). This is always appreciated. We also have a feedback sheet that allows you to praise us, please ask your RLO for a copy.
How long will the works take?
The works are expected to be complete by Summer 2024.
For more specific timelines please keep an eye out in the News Feed section for regular updates or speak to your RLO.
Will the works be noisy?
We will be doing all we can to keep noise and disruption to a minimum, however due to the nature of the works there are likely to be periods of noise and/or dust.
As we will be carrying out external works to the building there may be some elements of the works that will be noisy. We apologise for this and where possible will endeavour to minimise excessive noise.
We will keep you updated of when to expect these works and what measures we will be taking to minimise this where possible.
If you are unhappy about the level of noise caused by our works please report this to the RLO.
How will I be updated as the works progress?
Throughout the duration of this scheme we will provide regular updates on this microsite to update you on how the works are progressing as well as providing any instructional or safety information. Please keep an eye on our News Feed section.
Resident letters and newsletters may also be provided to keep you up-to date with our progress.
You can contact your RLO if you have any queries about the works.
What works are taking place?
We have included the full scope of works below, however please note that works may differ between each property and/or block on this scheme.
For a definitive scope of works for your block or property please speak to your RLO.
