New letter: August update on our works

This article has been summarised, a full copy of the letter is available within the documents library.

Following on from our last update, the legal process to terminate our main subcontractor's contract was completed allowing us to appoint replacement contractors for the completion of the works.

During the re-appointment phase, to maintain some progress we utilised an existing contractor to complete the removal of all remaining zinc areas and associated insulation. The specialist zinc contractor received their order at the end of July resulting in commencement on site Monday 31st July, restarting the installation of the new zinc finishes and compliant insulation.

We fully expected our preferred contractor for the main render and cladding areas to have received their works order and have commenced on site. Unfortunately, due to a number of issues, this has been delayed. These issues have now been resolved and the order is due to be completed next week allowing for a start on site from 21st August. During the last few weeks, the contractor's management team have been on site surveying and preparing for start on site.

Our June newsletter included an indicative completion programme, we are now in a position to complete an accurate project completion programme. Once finalised and agreed with all the necessary stakeholders this will be shared with all interested parties.
