Equans is undertaking fire safety and prevention works to properties at Whytecliffe Road on behalf of our client, Southern Housing. The works include the removal and renewal of external wall insulation and rainscreen cladding, minor external fabric repairs and decorations, fire remedial works and removal and renewal of timber balcony decking.

We have taken possession of the building's community hub on the ground floor to provide our staff with a site office as well as providing a pop centre for residents whilst the works are being carried out.

Equans is carrying out the remediation works to your building.

However, you’ll need to contact your landlord, Southern Housing,
if you’ve questions which are not related to the works being
carried out.

  • Volunteers give new life to women's refuge

    Volunteers from Equans have brought new life to a women's refuge in Kent after re-painting their children's playroom and teenagers space.

    In March, several staff from Equans kindly volunteered their time to help carry out redecoration works to brighten up spaces at a women's refuge and transform their playroom/therapy room. Works included sanding down walls and surfaces in preparation for new paint, painting a primary coat and finishing with a final touch up of skirting boards and other areas. In addition to painting, the volunteers also installed doors to create a storage cupboard for the centre.


    Equans' Social Value Manager, Patrick Warren, who liaised with Southern Housing to organise this initiative commented: "Thanks to the volunteers for all their hard work."

    The comments from the centre's team leader, Mel, shows the huge impact this social value initiative has had on people's lives: "I'd like to say a massive thank you for all the work that you've organised for us and all the hard work your team did working together in our playroom and teenagers room. The difference the work will make to our families and staff with the safe freshly decorated spaces is going to have long term positive impacts on their lives. The safe spaces will also enable them to have play therapy, children's activity and complete homework groups/after school clubs."

    Patrick arranged this event in line with our social value commitments to our client, Southern Housing and will be looking to arrange further events that benefit the local community in the near future.
