Equans Murdishaw Refurbishment Scheme

Equans is delighted to be partnering with Onward Homes to support the improvement works to 132 homes in Murdishaw, enhancing their overall energy efficiency. To complete this work, Equans has been instructed to carry out the following to your home:

  • Environmental sensors
  • External insulation to the walls and roof
  • High-performance glazing, uPVC windows and doors
  • Double-glazed skylights
  • Mechanical ventilation

We will also enhance the performance of your home by installing:

  • High-performance roof with improved drainage
  • Rendering to the front sheds
  • New timber shed doors
  • LED amenity lighting above the front doors

We will work closely with Onward to keep you up to date with every element of the works process and ensure you have plenty of information available. We will continue to communicate throughout the improvement works so you know what is happening in your home.

It is expected that the works will commence in October 2022 and will finish by March 2023. Your Resident Liaison Officer, Paul Hesketh, will be available to support and answer any questions you might have throughout the course of the works.

The Equans Social Value Team will be working collaboratively with Onward to deliver a range of key benefits to the local community. These will include employment and skills, school and community engagement and the promotion of sustainable living.

  • Festive hamper winner announced!

    On Monday December 19th, the Equans and Onward team drew the winner of the festive hamper. Every home was placed into a hat, and picked out was... Steve Carden!

    Paul Hesketh and Vickie Hodgson paid Steve a surprise visit on Monday morning to hand the hamper over. Well done Steve!

  • Scheme update - December 2022

    Hi everyone,

    This is the first of what will be monthly updates, shared here by the Equans team regarding the Murdishaw Refurbishment Scheme. Hopefully you've already received a letter from your Resident Liaison Officer, Paul Hesketh, which we'll summarise below.

    As a heads up, the Equans site will be closing down on Thursday 22nd December and we will be back on-site Tuesday 3rd January 2023.

    The team will be available as usual up to the shutdown period during usual site office hours. If you have an emergency, relating to the work we may have carried out at your home, during the festive period you can call our out of hours number on 0800 288 8200.

    Before we finish for the festive period, the team will be entering all households into a draw to win a festive hamper (seen below). The winner will be announced on the site on Monday 19th December, and the Equans team will visit the winner with their prize.

    If you have any questions regarding the scheme that are non-urgent, you can submit them to the team using the question function at the bottom of the main page.
