Hallam Court Works Update - 16th November 2023

Welcome to your latest works update where we regularly update you on our progress with the works being undertaken at Hallam Court.

If you have any queries, questions or concerns about the works please contact your appointed Resident Liaison Officer (RLO), Michael Olaadedini on 07402 861 522.

It is our intention to provide a regular update to residents as to what works have taken place and what works are upcoming. In between these updates the site team will be contacting you to make appointments for any surveys or works that need to be done to the outside of your flat or near your flat.

Our progress to date:

  • Completion of scaffold to the rear of the block
  • Completion of the front balcony decking and the rear balcony decking
  • Ongoing side elevation at Strathmore Road

Windows - We would like to remind everyone to keep their windows closed (due to potential but not anticipated noise/debris/dust etc.) as well as the privacy element. The debris from all of the works is very light and can easily be blown back into your property.

Scaffold Health & Safety Risk - We would like to remind everyone not to smoke on their balconies and throw cigarette butts on the scaffold along with other items such as rubbish, toys etc. Unfortunately, cigarettes and cigarette butts can easily be blown back into the building and/or onto the scaffold or existing cladding and cause a fire.

Residents Meeting: The residents meeting previously scheduled for the 29th November 2023 has now been re-scheduled for the 6th December from 6-7pm. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. This meeting will provide an opportunity for us to discuss important matters and address any concerns or suggestions you may have.

Minutes from the last resident meeting held on 25th October:

Q1: When is the completion of this ongoing project?
We are currently still in the design stage and expect this to be reviewed by week commencing 6th November

Q2: Residents said, she has a concrete slab on her balcony. She asked, are they going to change her balcony too?
No, as concrete is generally considered to be a fire-resistant material due to its non-combustible nature.

Additionally, the residents also enquired about the present stage that we are now on this project.
We are due to have structural information and report complete by November. Once we have this, we can produce a programme to include a start date and anticipated completion dates.

Christmas news update: Hallam Court, Get Ready for Festive Celebrations:

We are excited to announce that the annual Christmas draw for the residents of Hallam Court is on its way, along with special gift bags for the children in our community.
