Olivia Court Works Update - September 2024
Welcome to your latest works update - this is where we will regularly update you on our progress with the works being undertaken at Olivia Court.
If you have any queries, questions or concerns about the works please contact your appointed Resident Liaison Officer (RLO), Fred Bygrave on 07788 190 153.
It is our intention to provide a regular update to the residents at Olivia Court as to what works have taken place and what works are upcoming. In between these updates the site team will be contacting you to make appointments for any surveys or works that need to be done to the outside of near your flat.
Our progress to date:
- Stripped back to OSB board (wood panel) and monoflex is ongoing. Works have re-commenced to the front elevation of the block (Saddle Mew entrance)
- We have stripped off the old cement boards and insulation
- We have started fitting the Y wall - ongoing
- We have started fitting the spandrel panels (window panel) - ongoing
- We have also started to fit the new balcony panels
Important information:
Scaffold access: Access is strictly limited to site operatives only who are carrying out works on behalf of Equans. Access is not permitted onto the scaffold from your private balconies and if anyone is caught doing this they will be reported to Southern Housing and the police.
Equans cannot be held responsible if residents fail to comply with this request.
Please note that scaffolding can be very dangerous, we would therefore appreciate it if you could inform us of any concerns, you may have or if you see any unauthorised people, including other residents or their visitors on the scaffold.
Windows: We would like to remind everyone to keep their windows closed (due to potential but not anticipated noise/debris/dust etc.) as well as the privacy element. The make of the insulation to the rear is EPS which is very light and can easily be blown back into your property.
Scaffold Health & Safety Risk: We would also like to remind residents not to smoke on their balconies and throw cigarette butts on the scaffold along with other items such as rubbish, toys etc. Unfortunately, cigarettes and cigarette butts can easily be blown back into the building and/or onto the scaffold or existing cladding and cause a fire.
The information above has been taken from our latest Resident Newsletter which can be viewed in full by clicking here.
