Hallam Court Works update - 1st September 2023

Welcome to your first works update - this is where we will regularly update you on our progress with the works being undertaken at Hallam Court.

If you have any queries, questions or concerns about the works please contact your appointed Resident Liaison Officer (RLO), Michael Olaadedini on 07402 861 522.

It is our intention to provide a regular update to residents as to what works have taken place and what works are upcoming. In between these updates the site team will be contacting you to make appointments for any surveys or works that need to be done to the outside of your flat or near your flat.

Out of hours: If you have any problems or emergencies relating only to the Equans works outside of our usual working hours (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm), please call our Out of Hours Emergency Number on 0800 328 7244.

This number should only be used outside of our usual working hours including weekends if you experience a problem, issue or emergency with the works being undertaken by Equans.

If you see any persons on the scaffold outside of our working hours, please don't hesitate to contact the Police on 101 or the Croydon Police Station on 0207 609 1603.

Our progress to date: Scaffold erection to the rear elevation will be completed this week. Scaffold will start to be erected to the side elevation (adjacent to Strathmore Road) this week. 50% of balcony decking has been installed to the front elevation.

Results of the voting choice for balustrades from residents has now concluded and Option C (as shown below) emerged as the overall winning choice for residents.

Balustrade Option C

We would like to remind everyone to keep their windows closed (due to potential but not anticipated noise, debris, dust etc.) as well as the privacy element. The make of the insulation to the rear is EPS which is very light and can be easily block back into your property.

We would also like to remind residents not to smoke on their balconies and throw cigarette butts on the scaffold along with other items such as rubbish, toys etc. Unfortunately, cigarettes/butts can be easily block back into the building and/or onto the scaffolding or existing cladding and potentially cause a fire.

Respite facilities: We are planning to create a respite area for residents during this phase of remediation works. This facility will contribute and enhance the wellbeing of residents - further details to come.

Southern Housing Visits: Members of the Southern Housing Team will visit every Wednesday and knock on doors to discuss progress. Want a visit? If so, please let your RLO know.

Reminder: If you have not yet had an appointment carried out with regards to completing a Resident Profile and Pre-Condition Survey, please contact your RLO on 07811 697686 to arrange a convenient date and time for this to take place.
