Welcome to your fortnightly update from Equans. This is a great way for us to keep you up to date with all the work that has been going on so far and what we expect to achieve going forward.

As you will be aware, Equans has been appointed by Southern Housing to replace cladding and associated fire remediation works at Cygnus Court.

Since our last update:

• Scaffold erection to the side and rear elevations completed
• Scaffold erection to the front elevation underway and due to complete within two weeks. Hoist and staircase also to be installed
• Stripping of roof decking commenced 15th May

We now have a defibrillator available within our site office for emergencies - if you need to use this, please let us know as soon as possible. We will be utilising the grass area at the front of the building to house our resident respite facilities and changing room facilities for our labourers.

Access to gas meters: Due to scaffolding at the front of the building, gas meters are now inaccessible. If you need a gas meter reading, please inform your RLO.

Monthly residents meeting: We would like to invite you to our next residents meeting taking place on 6th June on Microsoft Teams from 6pm - we will send you a link.

Since our last update:

• Scaffold erection to the side and rear elevations completed
• Scaffold to start being erected to the front elevation within the next two weeks
• Full site office now set up at the rear of the building - you can find the site team here

We would like to thank residents for their co-operation during the intrusive internal survey and mounting of the hoist.

Roof access: As part of our works we will be installing a new roof to the block. These works are due to commence on 9th May and whilst the works are taking place access to the roof will be prohibited. To enforce this, measures will be implemented to prevent residents accessing the roof.

International Women's Day: Equans aim to affirm the Group's ambition to promote gender diversity, to increase the attractiveness of our businesses and the number of female managers in the company. To understand their career paths and to learn from their views on issues such as the benefits of gender diversity, the broadening of profile, the professional/personal balance, the importance of role models and sexist behaviour.

Works update:

• The oasis units which is our temporary office is being replaced with larger containers and will be delivered on 24th April - temporary lighting is also being set up
• We will be undertaking some intrusive internal surveys to some flats which is due to start from the 25th April

Monthly residents meeting: We would like to invite you to our next residents meeting taking place on 2nd May on Microsoft Teams from 6pm - we will send you a link.

Scaffold update: Scaffold is being erected at the rear and side elevations of the building - this is due to be completed by 24th April. Access is strictly prohibited for residents and general members of the public, if you see anyone trying to access the scaffold please report this to us as soon as possible. If this occurs outside of our working hours, please report it to the Police by calling 101.

• News Feed: Found on the left side of the page underneath the 'Introduction' section, the 'News Feed' includes all our recent news and activity. It's in date order so the most recent news is always at the top for your convenience
• Contact us: Found at the top of the right side, this section details every member of the Equans site team appointed to this scheme as well as a brief explanation of their role and most importantly their contact details. We've shown the key contacts on the main page, but click more to see the full team
• About Equans: This section tells you a little more about us, our expertise and our approach to corporate responsibility.
• Careers at Equans: We're keen to promote recruitment, click the image displayed to view all our current vacancies. We also have apprenticeships available - just contact us for more details!
• Document Library: Like it says on the tin, here is where we display any relevant documents related to the works - you may already have a paper version of these documents, so these are just a copy that may come in handy to view, download or print
• Photo Library: Like the 'Document library', this is where we will display our progress photos taken throughout the duration of the works. Each image will also have a short caption to explain what's being shown
