Noel Park Pod & Major Works Project

Welcome to the microsite for Noel Park, this site provides information about the works we are undertaking and gives you the opportunity to read all the latest news, ask questions, get in touch and have your say.

Equans is the leading provider of regeneration services in the UK - covering everything from community regeneration and refurbishment to repairs, maintenance and housing development. We're passionate about creating vibrant, efficient and sustainable communities, using integrated energy and services which make a real difference to people's lives.

Equans has been selected by Haringey Council to deliver their Noel Park major works and pod replacement project, which includes major works to tenanted properties, as well as, 116 modular bathroom pods.

Equans will be carrying out various surveys to establish the scope of works and develop the design for the modular pods that will be subject to planning approval. Once all approvals are granted, Equans will be able to provide a detailed programme of works and further consultations will be arranged with residents.

For more information about Equans or Haringey Council you can always visit the Equans website or the Haringey Council website.

What benefits can Noel Park and local residents expect:

  • Replacement of modular bathroom pods
  • Refurbishment works to more than 240 dwellings (repairs and redecorations)
  • Community value: Small DIY works and local community sessions for residents
  • Reduced carbon footprint which improves air quality in the area
  • Improved conditions for residents and better aesthetic of the area

  • Drone Surveys - update

Further to the information below, we have now completed all drone surveys.

Drones were recently utilised to carry out photographic surveys on the Noel Park Estate. They were used to capture aerial photos of the properties' roof line and high-level windows to assess their condition and state of repair prior to the scaffolding being erected.

The data obtained from the surveys are now being reviewed and actioned. Residents will be informed about the programme of works.

Please be aware that from 24th April for approximately 4 weeks we will be using a drone to carry out photographic surveys on the Noel Park Estate.

The drone will be used to capture aerial photographs of the property's roof line and high-level window to assess their condition and state of repair prior to the erecting of any scaffolding. See images below (Figs 1 & 2) of areas to be inspected.

  • An update on our works - Summer 2023

We're pleased to provide you with an update on the works being carried out at Noel Park, if you have any queries or concerns please contact your appointed Resident Liaison Officers, Lyn and Sonja.

Significant progress has been made on our major works programme in Noel Park. Construction works are continuing with the new modular extensions at Farrant Avenue and Moselle Avenue. To date, half of the extensions have now been installed. We aim to have all improvement works on these properties completed by the end of summer 2023.

It is expected that planning permission on the last remaining modular extensions on Gladstone Avenue will be granted soon. We would like to thank residents for their patience, and we will be in touch prior to any work taking place.

The previous L-shaped kitchen and bathroom show pods at The Sandlings car park have now been removed. A show pod of the bathroom modular extension only will soon be available for viewing. We are anticipating the pod to be open for viewings later this month - this will provide residents on Gladstone Avenue an indication of what their new bathrooms will look like.

If you have any questions or would like to view the modular extension show pod, please contact the Equans Resident Liaison Officers, Lyn Rutherford on 07767 648 158 or Sonja Eldred on 07748 822 768. Alternatively, you can email the dedicated Noel Park mailbox at Haringey Council NoelPark@haringey.gov.uk. Viewings will be held Monday - Friday between 9,30am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm. Late evening appointments are also available on Wednesdays from 1.30pm - 7pm. All viewings must be pre-booked.

In addition to the modular extension works, our external works programme has commenced at Gladstone Avenue as scheduled. These works consist of:

    • Minor garden clearance
    • Scaffolding along the front and rear elevations
    • Roof renewal
    • Window and front door works
    • Brickwork and decoration repairs

The Equans site team will continue to work with you to explain the works in more detail and answer any queries or concerns.

The kitchen works which began at Gladstone Avenue last year are nearing completion and are expected to finish in the coming weeks. We will be in touch with the next group of residents who are waiting for their kitchen works within the next few weeks to discuss the scope and dates.

  • 140th birthday party for Noel Park Estate is a great success

    supporting image

With support from the Equans team, crowds of local residents joined to celebrate the 140th birthday party for the Noel Park Estate.

Equans' Social Value Manager, Mark Bush was pleased to support local community group, Noel Park Big Local in organising the birthday celebrations and on Sunday 16th July, local residents came together to celebrate 140 years since the official opening of the estate in 1883.

The celebration which was held at Russell Park was a free one day festival to provide local residents with a family day including live music, food activities and of course a celebration of the past and future of Noel Park. The festival also featured an inflatable games area, information village, a mini olympics for young people as well as community leaders and community stalls.

As well as Equans staff volunteering their time on the day, prior to the event, Equans also provided Emergency First Aid training for volunteers attending the festival.

"Thanks for everyone's help on the day, it was a great event for the community to enjoy. We are currently completing works at the estate on behalf of Haringey Council and we're pleased to support local community projects as part of our social value offer." Mark Bush, Social Value Manager at Equans
